Statement of Faith

We recognize that there are some non-heretical differences in beliefs across the denominations within the
Body of Christ; however, what is common to all that gives us the ability to work in unity is stated below.

We believe that the entire Bible, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, was fully inspired by the Holy Spirit and that it was written without error (inerrant) in the original manuscripts: the only infallible rule of faith and practice. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

We believe there is only one God who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)

We believe Jesus Christ is God, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His death that paid for our sin through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension/rising to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory. (John 1:1; Matthew 1:18,25; Hebrews 4:15; Hebrews 9:15-22; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 9:27-28)

We believe that in this age, God manifests Himself through the Holy Spirit who is a distinct personality, eternally co-existent with the Father and the Son. He convicts and draws sinners to Christ, regenerates those who believe, continually indwells in them from the moment of spiritual birth and seals them until the day of redemption. The Holy Spirit empowers believers to live Godly lives and in every way glorify the Father and the Son through His indwelling presence. (John 14:15-26; John 16:5-16; Ephesians 1:13-14)

We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which was eternal separation from God and is upon all men. (Matthew 25:31-46; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, that all believers are members of His body, the Church. (Philippians 2:1-4)

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His shed blood. (1 Peter 2:24, 1 John 3:4, Romans 6:23, 1 John 2:2; John 19:30; 1 Pet. 2:24, Isaiah 53:4-6, Philippians 3:9)

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was resurrected in body, ascended into Heaven, presently lives there for us as High Priest and Advocate, and that His personal, physical return to earth is imminent. John 10:25-28, Acts 1:9-11, Hebrews 6:20, Hebrews 7:25

We believe that there will be a bodily resurrection of both the just and the unjust, the just to the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the unjust to the everlasting conscious suffering of the lost. (1 Pet. 3:18; Matt. 1:21; 25:46; Rom. 5; 1 John 2:2, Colossians 2:14, Eph. 2:1-3; Rom. 6:23, Matt. 8:12; Luke 16:19-31; Rev. 20:14-15; 21:8)

We believe that God created all human beings in His image. Therefore, we believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end; that we must honor the physical and spiritual needs of all people; following Christ's example, we believe that every person should be treated with love, dignity and respect. (Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10)
